Weekly Update 8/31/2020

Good afternoon Monarchs,

 

Our new school year has started, and we are almost a week into distance learning.  I want to thank all of our teachers for helping to get our students acclimated to their new but temporary learning environment.   Weekly agendas will continue to be posted and the links are still on the RCHS website.  I will continue to send out weekly updates on Mondays.

 

Rancho Campana Office Hours:  Rancho Campana Office hours are 8 AM to 2 PM Monday through Thursday.  Any business you need should be able to be conducted during these times.  Please remember to follow state guidelines by social distancing and wearing a mask when on campus.

 

Online Class Conduct:  A friendly reminder that all students must adhere to Rancho Campana rules of conduct while on their class meetings.  This ranges from language, dress code, online bullying or any other inappropriate action.  Students found violating RCHS rules are subject to discipline.

 

Digital Back to School Night:  Rancho Campana will be hosting a digital Back to School Night on Thursday, September 17th at 6:30 PM.  More details will come in following updates, see the attached flier.

 

AP Student Update:  AP Students: If you have not already, please be sure to obtain your AP course Join Code from your teacher to add your class on to your College Board account. Doing so will allow us to order your May 2021 AP Exam(s) if you wish to purchase. Information about purchasing AP Exams through our bookkeeper will be shared in September and purchasing will take place during the month of October. Please reach out to Ms. Pulido, Assistant Principal about any other questions pertaining to AP Exams – adriana.pulido@oxnardunion.org

Peer to Peer Freshman Connect:  As part of the RCHS outreach, our Peer to Peer Program will be hosting Freshmen Connect

Each week a pair of students will host a short (30 minute) virtually meeting with a small group of Freshmen students. The meetings will serve as not only a safe place to get to know new students but also to learn more about the “new way” of doing school. 

Your student will be receiving an email at the beginning of the week inviting them to their Freshmen Connect meeting. We hope you encourage your student to attend! 

Principal’s Office Hours:I will continue to hold my office hours every other Wednesday.  My next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 9th at 5:00 PM.   I will post the link next week in the update and on the website.
