Good afternoon Monarchs,
Ventura County dropped into the Orange Tier this week. As Spring Break comes to a close, we are preparing to welcome students back two days per week.
Hybrid Reminders: We are moving to two day a week instruction next week. Students will attend school either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday; assigned days are currently viewable on SudentVue as a period 11. If you would like to change the assigned days, you may fill out the following form, your request will be reviewed, and the schedule may be switched but there is no guarantee. No student will be changed until after 4/16.
I have reattached the COVID protocols we will be following. Remember, you must fill out the passive screening sent to the student’s email before entering campus. Lunch and Breakfast will be available for purchase and pick up before school. LAPTOPS MUST BE FULLY CHARGED EVERY DAY, we do not have enough space or available outlets to charge laptops. The teachers on campus this week for in-person instruction will be:
Ms. Creech (Science)
Mr. Creech (Social Science)
Ms. B. Davis (Social Science)
This list will be updated on a weekly basis.
CAASPP and CAST Testing: The entire week of the 19th Rancho Campana will administer state tests to all juniors and seniors. Seniors will take the CAST test on Monday, April 19th. Juniors will take a portion of the CAASPP Tuesday the 20th through Friday the 23rd. The test will begin every day at 9:30 AM and should last until 1:00 PM. Please see the attached schedule and letter describing the state testing.
Every RCHS teacher will be assigned a pod of roughly 7 students. The assigned lists by student ID are attached and are available on the RCHS website here. With all teachers involved in testing, RCHS will be async for the entire week of the 19th for all other students. The campus will still be open and available for any student that wishes to complete their async assignments on campus, however teachers will not be available for in-person instruction. If an eleventh or twelfth grader wishes to test on campus, RCHS will provide space for testing but it is recommended to test from home.
Art Pop! April 16th: Friday, April 16th RCHS will host it’s annual Art Pop event in person. There will be live performances by bands and the RCHS dance team, art displays and food trucks. The event begins at 5:30 PM. We will be ensuring the event is safe by following all California and CDC health protocol and keeping the capacity limited. Hope to see you there!
Martin Townhall: I will be hosting my bimonthly townhall next Wednesday, April 14th at 5:30 PM. Please note the time change, it will start a half an hour later than normal. If you are interested, please follow this link.
Summer School: Reminder to anyone interested in summer school to fill out the following link by April 16th.
It’s a pleasure to serve the Rancho Campana Community!!! #Train2Reign
