School begins tomorrow (8/25), we are thrilled to have all of our students back for in person instruction. This will be the first of my weekly updates that I will normally send Mondays. You should see necessary information that will be easily accessible to you throughout the year. These updates will also be posted on our website. First Day at RCHS, School Starts at 8:30 AM:
Our first day of school is tomorrow. There will be heavy traffic entering campus every morning. Please plan to arrive by 8:15 AM to ensure you are on time. Parents, please pull up and abide by all traffic laws. The campus gates will open at 7:35 AM and RCHS will have two entrances, near the administrative classroom and the middle gate by the garden. Please refer to the attached map and bell schedule below.
Make-Up Registration Tomorrow Morning:
Students unable to attend orientation will be able to register, verify paperwork and take a make-up picture tomorrow morning in the RCHS PAC. Make-up registration will begin at 7:30 AM. Any student that has not registered is required to come to the PAC to get their schedule prior to going to class. Students that came last Friday must take their make-up pictures tomorrow in the PAC before school.LCFF Data Collection:
The LCFF data collection form is used by the State for LCFF funding purposes benefits for students. This form is not a meal application as all students eat for free. It helps our district with funding from the state. Parents can complete the form online at https://oxnarduhsd.rocketscanapps.com/
or they can complete a hard copy form form the office. The deadline to submit the LCFF data collection form is 10/31/2021. Thank you! Schedule Changes:
Student schedules are viewable on STudentVue. Students will be able to submit (paper-based) schedule change requests this week. All schedule change requests are due by Friday, August 27th. Schedule changes submissions will be reviewed and if possible, will be fulfilled. You can find the forms on the RCHS website here
. Counselors will review the requests in the order received. Period, trimester and teacher change requests will not be granted. New User Accounts for Students:
Students in grades 10 – 12 have received a new student email, old emails have been deactivated. If 10, 11 and 12 grade students are having trouble logging into their account, they can click this link
and enter their ID and birthday and they will be given their NEW username as well as be prompted to create security questions for themselves to be able to reset their password on their own. Athletics Update:
Busses will be available to Camarillo HS and Rio Mesa HS only during our fifth period. Please visit the athletics website here
and fill out the athletic participation form if you are interested. Principal’s Office Hours
: I will continue to hold office hours twice per month, but the hours will change. I will hold one the second Wednesday of every month at 5:00 PM, virtually, and another the third Wednesday of the month at 8:00 AM in person. My first office hours will be September 8th.
