Weekly Update 9-27-2021

Good Afternoon Monarchs,

Starting this month, I will post a monthly parenting tip.  This month is about eating dinner as a family, the whole tip is attached below.  Please take the time to view it.

Here are this week’s updates:

Parent Engagement Evenings:  Beginning October 7th, the RCHS wellness team will begin their monthly Parent Engagement meetings.  They will be held the first Thursday of the month subsequently.  The first presentation will be: “The Inside Scoop on Your Child’s Progress”.  It will helop parents navigate Canvas, Google Classroom and ParentVue.  Additionally, there will be tips about studying and engaging your student.  We look forward to seeing you there!

RCHS College Fair:  RCHS will be hosting an Out-of-State College Fair on Tuesday, September 28th from 3:30pm – 4:30pm. The Fair will be in-person and will take place in the front of school by the PAC.  List of colleges attending

Ongoing COVID Testing: Covid testing is still available to the community, every Wednesday morning from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM.  A student must have the attached Parent Consent form on file and a Patient Test Request signed by a parent to test.  We only need the Parent Consent once but the Patient Test Request must be filled out every time and signed.

National Merit Commended Students:  I am proud to report Rancho Campana High School had six National Merit Scholarship commended students.  These students rank among the top 50,000 students nationwide.   These students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success, we are so proud of them.  They are: Katharine Moira Archibald, Colin Duhamel, Sabrina Ebright, Benjamin Scheerger, Layla Semaan and Shuxin N Zhang.   Congratulations to them all!!!

Grub Hub/Door Dash/Food Delivery:  There are no outside food deliveries allowed on campus.  Students have ordered food and opened gates to get it.  We have supervision near the gates, but students are still trying to open them.   Open gates are a security risk; all students have lunch available to them so ordering food is not necessary or permitted.  Thank you for your support.

Attendance:  If you are picking up your student early, please send them with a note to drop off in the office before school. This helps us facilitate the release of your student and helps speed up the pick up process.

am proud to be a part of the Rancho Campana Community. Thank you everybody for your support.
