The Social Science Department teaches about the past and how it impacts the future. Currently, the classes offered are: Geography, Sociology, World History, US history, Government, and Economics. The faculty of this department spend time discussing philosophy and current events in the context history. The Social Science Department design cross-curricular project-based learning units with the English department to share ideas and teach literature.
