Dual Enrollment
The Dual Enrollment program at the Community Colleges allows eligible students to enroll in college courses and earn college credit with the possibility of earning high school credit simultaneously. Participating students not only get a “taste” of college, but also get a head start on their college career and save money. Students complete assignments in the same manner as “regularly” admitted students and are given a final grade that is posted on their Community College official college transcript. This program is offered at all three community colleges.
Participating in dual enrollment allows you to earn college credits while in high school. The courses also give you high school credits. OUHSD students can transfer up to 40 outside credits onto their high school transcript. Most community college classes are equivalent to 10 high school credits.
